Natural Kraft Mailers

Natural Kraft Mailers

Natural Kraft mailers are made of 50% recycled, 30% post-consumer waste. They are 24# natural kraft, process chlorine free envelopes with gummed flaps. The mottled tan look of these envelopes is great. The color can best be described by thinking of adding 1/3 white to 2/3 brown paper bag. Note that the color may vary.

These mailing bags are rugged, clean and easy to use. In addition to their recycled content, these bags are easily recyclable.

Recycling paper uses fewer natural resources, fewer chemicals, and is less toxic than conventional papermaking. One ton of paper made from 100% wastepaper, rather than virgin wood fiber saves 17 trees, 4100 kilowatt hours of energy, 7000 gallons of water, 60 pounds of air-polluting effluents, 3 cubic yards f landfill space, and up to $150 in taxpayer money for waste disposal.

Before around 1850, most paper was a completely recycled product made from fiber from reclaimed materials. North America’s first paper mill, built in Philadelphia in 1690, made paper from rags.

By the end of the 19th century, demand for paper had grown, and wood fiber was determined to be the most available and cost effective paper ingredient.
